Bid Writing

The Challenge

When applying and writing tender responses for a public sector contract or framework, your workload suddenly increases. Do you have anyone available to focus on bid writing? Will your business suffer if resources are stretched? Or perhaps, you can manage the bid coordination but would like someone to step in and tackle certain questions, help with supplier questionnaires and provide meaningful content. Unforeseen business challenges can also take your time and focus away from bid writing, if this is a must win contract, it will need dedication

Bid Writing

The Solution

Pipster can assist with writing responses for pre-qualification questionnaires and quality submissions; for the whole project or just selected areas, whichever you require. We understand how to craft a response to the evaluation criteria, ensure it is compliant, and make sure it hits your client’s hot buttons. We will conduct research, get to know your team, interview your subject matter experts, storyboard and create answer plans and produce drafts for your review. We are happy to organise and lead review meetings and will ultimately produce your final copy with compelling and persuasive content. The Pipster team are experienced in writing bid responses on common public sector themes such as operations, safety, sustainability, carbon reduction, quality, social value, equality and diversity, legal, commercial, human resources and stakeholder liaison.

Frequently asked questions

Are you able to work in-house with us?

We will always get involved with your company on a personal basis with the view of building long-term relationships. Integrating with your organisation and becoming a valued member of your team is important to us. Most of our work is carried out remotely, however, we do also attend face-to-face meetings when required. We are very accustomed to working via video meeting platforms such as MSTeams or Zoom and find this to be a very efficient way of working. Our ethos is collaborative, but our way of working remains outside of IR35. You contact us on a project basis, with any member of the team able to carry out the work.

How long does it take you to write a bid?

How long is a piece of string?! It really depends on factors such as the requirements of the bid, what we are contracted to do, how well we know the client, how long the questions are and how quickly requested information gets sent to us. The earlier we work with you, the better idea we will have of how long the bid will take to complete. We are happy to provide you with a timescale estimation at the point of quotation, although this can be subject to change.

What happens if more than one company approaches you to work on the same bid?

We work on a first-come, first-served basis, and will never create a conflict of interest by working on the same bid for different companies.
