Approach to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Statement

Pipster Solutions is a modern, contemporary business. We understand the emergence of new and adaptive technologies, and how they have been built to enhance and improve service offering. As an active member of the bidding community, we are also well connected to artificial intelligence (AI) and software experts that have in depth knowledge of these systems, their advantages and applications.

For internal processes, we do use a range of systems that use automated steps to assist us with daily tasks for example graphic creation, marketing, CRM, PR and document editing / searching but our approach to bid writing and content creation for our clients is different. We focus on using human creativity, skills and talent to produce compelling and persuasive responses, tailored to specific bid and client requirements. In manually turning every page, we ensure that we capture every detail, understand our client’s needs and increase response accuracy. Pipster also actively avoids the risk of plagiarism, we do not use other people’s content, ours will be original and unique. People buy from people, writing with feeling will allow readers to build a connection, and feeling is quite often missed in automated content.

Recognising that some of our clients want to adopt AI into their bidding processes, perhaps because they want to save time, money or resources, or keep bid writing in-house, we have developed a way in which we can still help. Automated bid answers risk being vague, missing key client objectives, not being personal enough and lack a real understanding of their needs. Our ‘PipsterEyes’ review service offers the chance for any AI generated bid content to be assessed against tender and question criteria, to add in the human element, and ensure it is personal and persuasive.

We see intelligent algorithms, innovative systems and data automation as enablers and enhancements to human ability. There is certainly a need for both in this new digital world, so our goal is to stay ahead of what is available, how it can be used, how it could benefit our business and our clients and balance both approaches – remaining open, flexible and adaptive to change. Technology and automation can easily replace tasks but in our view, not people.

To stay ahead of available technological and digital solutions, Pipster commits to continual learning and understanding through attendance at conferences, exhibitions, webinars and training sessions, bidding publications, in regular business discussions, horizon risk planning and listening to our bidding colleagues. Through monthly topic focused #BidBites sessions and a weekly Thursday Throng forum, we will keep this topic of conversation open.
