Social Value: Dorothy House Hospice Care – Pipster’s 2024 Charity of the Year

The Pipster Team has chosen Dorothy House Hospice Care as their ‘Charity of the Year’ for 2024 – a hospice care charity that provides palliative and end-of-life care to patients living with a life-limiting illness, and their families and carers. On May 27th, Pippa and her friends took part in the Dorothy House ‘Race the Dragon Day’ fundraising event – a 400m race down the River Avon using 5 person stand up paddle boards. The team made it to the semi-finals and, although they did not win the race, they were awarded a duck for being the best dressed! On June 15th, Pippa and Jo stayed up way past their bedtime to wear purple pyjamas and take part in the Dorothy House ‘10k Midnight Walk’ fundraising event – a 10k walk around the beautiful city of Bath. The event collectively raised an outstanding £60k for Dorothy House!
